It was a pleasure to be able to assist our friends Markus and Benjamin Hotz in their recent preparation of Fredy Lienhard’s Lola Judd LMP2 chassis. The car hadn’t been run for a while so we provided online and telephone support to help with system checks, ECU and GCU configs and the engine fire up. The engine data was downloaded remotely so we could check the engine parameters before the team departed for the circuit. Fredy took the Lola and his Porsche Spyder to the Red Bull ring circuit, where they were driven by him and his son, Fredy Jr. The Lola looks great in the red/white livery and the Porsche just looks fabulous!
Fredy owned and co-drove the first Judd powered car (a Dallara SP1) to win a 24 hour race, the 2002 Daytona 24 hours, and we have very fond memories of racing with him.
