TRAINEE ENGINE BUILDER

Due to the continued success of our JUDD engines and our growing historic racing and non-motorsport customer base we have an immediate vacancy for a TRAINEE ENGINE BUILDER.

We are looking for someone who is currently working in the vehicle or engine preparation business, has an interest in motorsport and wants to work on something more interesting than road cars or trucks. We do not expect the successful candidate to have worked in motorsport before.

To be considered you will have to show us that you know your way around the internal combustion engine and have the right skills and attitude to work on high performance racing engines. You will also most likely have built or maintained engines either at home as a hobby or as part of your job.

As a trainee engine builder you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced technicians and be shown how we prepare and build engines. You will be expected to learn and follow our procedures and eventually be able strip and rebuild engines without direct supervision, so if you want to build racing engines and think you have the right attributes we would like to hear from you.

We will offer a competitive starting salary to the successful candidate, likely to be in the region of £11.00 – £12.00 per hour. There is the potential to earn more than this through gaining in experience and skill level so there are good long-term prospects for dedicated, conscientious staff in a friendly and disciplined working environment.

To be considered for this role you must already have the right to work in the UK.
