Bonneville salt flats, October 2018
Congratulations to Reg Cook and the entire CMR team on their successful final run at the Bonneville 2018 World Finals with their self designed & built, Judd F1 V10 powered, streamliner. Following the test runs at the previous 2 meetings the team had very high hopes of posting a new world record. The first run went very well, peaking at 318 mph. Unfortunately the weather intervened and no further running was possible.
Quote from Reg Cook, owner/driver of the CMR team :

NZ Streamliner F1 V10 engine 458kph / 285mph Bonneville
Does this make us the fastest Formula One Powered car in the world? August 15 2018 our New Zealand Streamliner WAIRUA ran a 458.6kph / 285 mph top speed at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Powered by our 1990's era F1 3L V10 Judd-Yamaha, she makes an exceptional sight and sound at this amazing home of racing. She's now in impound ready to back the record up in the morning. But this is just the start of what we hope to achieve with her this year, taking this engine to over 300mph (482kph).Massive thanks to Sammy Harris for the clipPosted by CMR Bonneville on Wednesday, August 15, 2018
